Tbilisi
The bustling and crowded center of Georgia, Tbilisi is a city rich in history. This is reflected in the many historic buildings scattered throughout the Georgian capital.
The heart of Tbilisi is the historic district, which is a mix of ancient temples, houses with charming balconies and modern art - small masterpieces can be found everywhere, they just need a little attention.
Not to be missed in Tbilisi are attractions such as the Narikala Fortress, the Metekhi Temple and the Peace Pedestrian Bridge. Every walk around the city will reward you with a special place.
Mtskheta
Not far from Tbilisi, the small but phenomenally interesting town of Mtskheta is the best day trip from the capital. First of all, the city is known for its numerous religious buildings - it is an important center of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
People come to Mtskheta to see the frescoes of the great Svetitskhoveli Cathedral or the Jvari Monastery, which sits on a hill and features a curious mix of architectural styles.
Kutaisi
This city and its surroundings can rightly be called one of the most charming places in Georgia. Kutaisi is surrounded by many legends - long ago it was the capital of the semi-mythical Kingdom of Colchis, to which many monuments and sights are dedicated. For example, the Colchian Fountain with its amazing figures is one of the symbols of the city. It is interesting not only to get lost in the ancient city and explore its cozy streets, but also to go on an adventure. There are many interesting places in and around the city - for example, the Prometheus Cave.
Batumi
Bright evening lights, a lively promenade, the longest in Europe, tall skyscrapers and, of course, beautiful sea and mountain views - that's what makes Batumi different from other Georgian cities.
This city on the Black Sea coast is one of the most modern places in Georgia, but we should not forget that it is also one of the oldest cities in the country. Guests will find in Batumi not only modern architecture and many examples of modern art, but also a classic historical center with narrow streets and cute houses that are many years old.
Sighnaghi
Sighnaghi, perched on a hilltop overlooking the green expanses of the Alazani Valley, is reminiscent of a town in Italian Tuscany. And it lives up to its reputation as one of the most beautiful places in the country. A sea of cascading red tiled roofs separates Sighnaghi from the towering Caucasus Mountains on the horizon, while winding cobblestone streets and wooden houses evoke the traditional Georgian style of the 19th century. It continues to thrive in this beautiful setting.
Stepantsminda
Tucked away among the ridges of the Caucasus in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, the town of Stepantsminda may seem remote, but it's for the adventurous who want to see something special.
Glacier-covered peaks glistening in the sun are the highlight of the local landscape. It's also why Stepantsminda is at the top of the list of adventure destinations in Georgia.
There are plenty of hiking opportunities and other adrenaline-pumping activities, from hang gliding to rafting and rock climbing.
Borjomi
The first association with this town is mineral water: the springs have been popular since ancient times, but modern Borjomi has more to offer than just spa baths. The city is picturesquely located, with imperial architecture, green spaces and exquisite fountains. And on the outskirts lies the Green Monastery, surrounded by ancient forests and shrouded in dark legends.
